Cath Kidston and Penney Pang Present a Very Special Afternoon Tea
Cath Kidston and award-winning cake designer, Penney Pang, served a quintessentially British afternoon tea experience to Hong Kong guests at EAST, Hong Kong.
Comprising an afternoon tea set during weekdays and a tea buffet on weekends, the themed event received an overwhelming response from customers who were delighted with the opportunity to step back in time to an age of elegance, dainty pastries and delicate floral china tableware.
Both afternoon teas were inspired by Cath Kidston’s bright and beautiful Spring/Summer 2014 collection, aptly entitled ‘Brighten Up Your Day’. The collection’s inspiration of fresh blooms and seasonal floral prints matched perfectly with Penney Pang’s signature cake design, which features delicately handcrafted sugar flowers and luscious frosting.
The event, running over a period of two months, was a resounding success, attracting five times the number of guests to EAST, Hong Kong as compared to its usual crowd. Both afternoon teas were fully booked during the event period, with an average of 100 diners every day.
